Facilities Technician

Description

Expected to provide technical support to the Facilities Ministry by working to meet all aspects of departmental functions, including (but not limited to) site safety, site resource maintenance and set-up of resources to meet the needs of the Cottonwood Creek Church ministries and incoming groups. Must be able to interact with the staff, church attendees and community while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient.  Weekend availability a must.

Job Requirements and Personal Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma Required

Job Skills: Some experience with light maintenance and repairs; Good People skills; Task oriented; Capable of managing multiple tasks at one time; Ability to prioritize; Ability to problem solve and create solutions; Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to learn new programs; Good leadership skills; Hard working; Must be dependable, discreet, friendly and professional; Must have a desire to help and serve others.

 

Essential Functions:

Will provide services and support team members in the following areas:

• Review all requests placed in work order/ticketing system and determine priority and steps to resolve.
• Provide a safe work and worship environment for CCC staff and membership
• Maintain the Facilities office and shop appearance to provide a positive impression
• Maintain site resources in safe and excellent working order
• Complete all scheduled set-ups per scheduling software or as directed by Facilities Manager
• Maintain A/C and door lock schedules to meet the needs of scheduled events
• Anticipate/complete set-ups in advance when there are no schedule conflicts
• Complete assigned repair/maintenance tasks as directed
• Respond in a timely manner to facilities’ needs requiring immediate attention
• Report obvious areas that need attention
• Provide support with preparing and stocking coffee/coffee supplies during weekend service times
• Support the other facilities and custodial staff to meet special needs/requests, during special events, and in periods of heavy workload
• Handle any other duties and special tasks specified by the Facilities Manager, the Senior Pastor or the Senior Leadership of Cottonwood Creek Church
• Support the church and church leaders by agreeing with and reinforcing the teaching and ministry
