Description
The successful Executive Assistant (EA) will provide administrative support for the EVP of Development and CEO. The EA will interact with a diverse group of external callers, donors and visitors as well as internal contacts within all levels of the organization. Independent judgment and initiative are required to plan, prioritize, and organize a diversified workload under pressure and deadlines. Critical thinking and sound decision-making skills are necessary to maintain day-to-day operation of the Development Department. In order to be successful, this employee must meet the objectives set out by the Development Department; carry out the required functions in an honest, competent, and confident manner; and ultimately assist in the accomplishment of the EVP of Development’s goals and objectives. Flexibility, focus, forward-thinking, organizational skills, communication skills, and the ability to constantly re-prioritize are crucial to the success of this position.
Requirement
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Administrative Support-e.g. organization, meeting coordination, expense reports, donor data
- Communications Support–e.g. calendaring, memos, mail, phone calls, email
- Special Projects Management–miscellaneous project management as directly assigned
- Lead, attend, and/or contribute to East-West sponsored spiritual formation activities and perform other duties as assigned
- Travel to and assist the execution of major donor events
Education and Experience
- BA degree or equivalent experience within discipline, required
- 3-5 years minimum experience working in a similar role, preferred
- 2-3 years of ministry/nonprofit experience, preferred
- Uphold a close and growing relationship with Jesus Christ
