Job Summary

The purpose of this position is to support the Program Management function related to research and analysis, assessing business processes, requirements gathering, design, testing, and launch management activities for product and technological solutions, and a variety of department and enterprise projects and workgroups. This position is responsible for researching, identifying, recommending/solving, and potentially implementing solutions to business problems and needs of internal and external customers that enhance and optimize the customer experience.

 

What You'll Do

  • Assist with key projects, workgroups, business process reviews, and scrum efforts. This includes developing project plans, project scope management, research and analysis, data analytics, creating project requirements and test plans, coordinating and performing testing, conducting go-to-market activities, and communication and feedback to department management and personnel regarding new processes and features.

  • Collaborate with all functions within the Enterprise, including growth, relationship management, strategy, experience, and other support areas to inform creation of product requirements for existing products and services.

  • Assist with the creation and execution of product requirements, vision, and roadmaps of existing products and services across the technology suite.

  • Assist with leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with stakeholders to identify, determine, and define the desired state of technological solutions for internal and external customers.

  • Assist with road map efforts with research and analysis, data analytics, as well as assessment of implementation impacts and ongoing support requirements.

  • Monitor, analyze, and report out on user feedback received on products and services and coordinate issue resolution with front-line teams

  • A member of the scrum team, assist developers and the Product Owner(s) with prioritization and planning activities including Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, and product demos as needed.

  • Be an unapologetic advocate for the customer experience, gathering data and customer feedback to help define features, stories, and enhancements for new and existing technology solutions.

  • Conduct process mapping, value stream mapping, identifying of waste and inefficiencies, reduce costs and quantify financial impacts, make recommendations to management, and manage or monitor implementation efforts.

  • Assist with regular reporting on key metrics for new and existing products and services.

  • Create business requirements and specifications to develop or enhance software applications, business functions, documentation, and workflows and communicate requirements to our delivery teams for system development.

  • Create user acceptance test plans and scenarios, and coordinate and conduct testing with business units to ensure product development quality.

  • Provide thought leadership and subject matter expertise for solutions in development and already deployed.

  • Act as a liaison across the Enterprise to resolve project issues.

  • Assist with establishing go-to-market strategies for new customer interfaces and feature updates.

  • Assist with conducting and/or coordinating training sessions and developing marketing and educational materials

  • Assist management as an available and reliable resource for areas of responsibility.

  • Represent and/or lead workgroups, process reviews, requirements gathering, and coordinate tasks with stakeholders, project team, and delivery team as appropriate.

  • Accept, manage, and complete special projects or research as assigned.

 

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or equivalent work experience.

  • 2-3 years experience in financial services or transferrable experience required.

  • Strong analytical skills to conceptualize complex business issues, and processes.

  • Demonstrates a passion for creating and improving customer experiences.

  • Ability to identify opportunities for enhancement and apt to changing business needs.

  • Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies required. Experience working within an agile software development team a plus.

  • Experience leading and/or contributing to cross-functional projects preferred.

  • Proficient data analysis skills required. Experience with SQL, Report Builder, PowerBI or other data visualization software a plus.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and mediation skills with ability to facilitate meetings with various audiences and drive to decisions and document outcomes.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and team-oriented mindset.

  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.

  • Knowledge of retirement plan products and services or insurance products preferred.

  • Proficient skills in MS Office
