The Associate Sales Account Manager role works closely with Insurance Sales and Retirement New Business to win new Ministry partner clients in support of Guidestone’s sales goals. As a Sales Account Manager, you are responsible for project managing all aspects of the sales process from initial capabilities through proposals, prospect meetings, and contract handoffs. SAM’s help drive the strategy to position Guidestone’s products and services by assessing plan sponsor needs.

 

This role relies heavily on your knowledge of Guidestone’s products and services and utilizing your network and relationship building skills to collaborate and work across multiple internal business partners and SMEs.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Manage end‑to‑end sales and retention efforts, driving efficiency, effectiveness, and use of modern tools and technologies.

  • Lead the sales proposal process, including needs discovery, custom proposal development, multi‑product coordination, financial and investment review, and on‑time delivery.

  • Coordinate and support sales finals and site visits, including agendas, presenter preparation, logistics, materials, and product demonstrations.

  • Partner closely with internal and external stakeholders to understand requirements and align solutions to prospect and client needs.

  • Leverage product, service, and market knowledge to differentiate GuideStone’s value proposition throughout the sales process.

  • Educate and prepare internal partners for client interactions, including coaching presenters and providing actionable feedback to strengthen sales delivery.

 

What You'll Need

  • 0–2 years of relevant, progressive work experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • Familiarity with defined contribution or multi‑product environments is a plus, but not required.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

  • Ability to align people, processes, and technology toward shared objectives.

  • Working knowledge of sales methodologies and strategies.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and GuideStone systems.

  • Willingness to travel up to 10% annually.

  • Commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality of GuideStone business matters.
