Inventory Specialist

Description

As an inventory specialist, you will manage product inventory for the company, ensuring that items are both received and shipped out to their destination in perfect condition.  This involves counting products, identifying discrepancies, checking for manufacturer defects and working with duty managers to oversee the accuracy of shipments leaving the premises.  

The ideal candidate will be hard worker with an attention to detail.  They will be comfortable working with computer systems and able to communicate well with colleagues and management as they engage in day-to-day tasks.

Job Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage stock rotation procedures
• Work with management if products are missing or damaged within a shipment 
• Maintain count accuracy (digital and physical counting)
• Update database with incoming and outgoing products
• Load and unload deliveries
• Print, audit, and review all unloaded products
• Manage and maintain inventory records using an inventory management software system
• Pull Items for upcoming projects to make part kits, ensuring that the correct quantities and items are pulled 
• Maintain inventory storage space in the storage room

Requirement

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years experience in a similar role
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Detail oriented
• Working knowledge of word processor, database and spreadsheet software
