Job Summary

Supervises the financial reporting function of GuideStone including external financial statement preparation and internal management reporting. Supervises, directs, and trains reporting staff to produce timely and accurate reports that meet the needs of GuideStone executives, management, and trustees. Coordinates the external audit during its execution and assists in its planning throughout the year by implementing changes to GAAP and assuring good internal controls.

 

What You'll Do

  • Supervise staff and review production of financial statements and reports

  • Coordinate external audit

  • Assist GuideStone management in identifying and producing reports

  • Coordinate GAAP recommendations and implementations

  • Assist with GuideStone budgeting process and reporting

  • Supervise staff and assist in preparation of financial presentations

  • Assist with special projects and/or process improvement initiatives

 

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

  • Master’s Degree, required.

  • CPA License, required.

  • Combination of 10+ years of relevant, progressive work experience.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information to board members and non-financial stakeholders.

  • Experience leading and mentoring in a professional environment.

  • Ability to delegate, prioritize, and direct multiple tasks.

  • Proficient skills in MS Office and appropriate GuideStone system applications.

  • Must have complete confidentiality regarding GuideStone business matters.
