Position Summary
The Missionary Mobilizer will play a pivotal role in the East-West Recruitment Team, actively seeking out and inspiring potential missionaries to serve cross-culturally. This position will involve traveling to universities, recruiting events, and other strategic locations and assisting in finding creative and innovative ways to share information about East-West's mission opportunities. In addition, the Missionary Mobilizer will be responsible for engaging and cultivating new leads from those events into missionary applicants. This involves building relationships with potential candidates, answering their questions, and providing them with the resources they need to learn more about East-West and the missionary application process. The ideal candidate is passionate about global missions, possesses strong interpersonal skills, and is eager to grow in their role.
This is a fully support-raised position.
Requirement
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively recruit potential missionaries through various recruitment strategies, including traveling and online.
- Engage with mission-mind individuals, sharing information about East-West's mission opportunities and inspiring them to consider cross-cultural service.
- Build relationships with university faculty, staff, and student organizations to facilitate recruitment efforts.
- Assist in organizing and executing recruitment events, including workshops, presentations, and information sessions.
- Engage and cultivate new leads as they seek to learn more about East-West
- Work closely with the East-West Recruitment Team to develop and implement effective recruitment strategies.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance recruitment skills, knowledge of cross-cultural missions and East-West
- Develop and maintain a network of personal support
Qualifications
- Uphold a close and growing relationship with Jesus Christ
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Ability to raise personal support
- Previous cross-cultural experience preferred
- Ministry experience, preferred
- Passion for global missions and cross-cultural service.
- Familiarity (or desire to learn) with all aspects of cross-cultural and local missions, both in practice and principle
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to travel
